About Carol

     Fourteen years old Carol Szwei was born in Hoboken on January 19, 1994.  She graduated from Benjamin Franklin Elementary School in North Bergen, New Jersey, this past June.  She is presently a freshman at High Tech High School in North Bergen, New Jersey.  Having studied piano with Mr. Wichlan for the past two and one half years she had studied with another teacher for about six months before coming to Mr. Wichlan.  Carol has now been with the Pinault School of Music for one year.  With the Pinault School of Music she has participated in ten concerts:  two at Weill Hall, Carnegie Hall, one at Steinway Hall, and two at Tanglewood, Massachusetts.

     Carol has achieved honors since the first grade.  She became president and valedictorian during her eighth grade year and was accepted into the Musical Theater Department at High Tech in North Bergen, New Jersey.  She also accompanied the Franklin School Chorus for two years.
